Pastoral Partnership Prayer Ministry is dedicated to helping Christians navigate the inner healing space in union with the Trinity (Father, Son & Holy Spirit). Rooted in scriptural principles, our prayer ministry is pastoral in nature, facilitated through active listening, listening prayer, and the gifts of the Spirit.
Heart Healing helps facilitate Restoration
Inner healing, also known as heart healing, is deeply rooted in Christian spirituality, often seen as a pathway to emotional and spiritual restoration.
It draws from biblical principles, emphasising the transformative power of God’s love and the work of the Holy Spirit to heal wounds accumulated over time.
We have seen time and time again through God’s ministry at Pastoral Partnership, many people receive heart healing which has led to personal freedom and restoration. It is one of our greatest joys to help facilitate significant experiences for people to become aware of their union with the Trinity.
The Journey of the Heart
“Heart healing is not a one-time event but a continual process of transformation. I often say healing involves layers, and God often heals one layer at a time, addressing deeper issues as the individual is ready. This ongoing journey of healing and restoration is an essential part of the Christian walk, where believers move from glory to glory, as described in 2 Corinthians 3:18: "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory."
I can’t highlight enough the importance of patience and being kind to yourself, I have clients that have been so hard on themselves. So I encourage believers to trust God’s timing and to remain open to the work of the Holy Spirit as He brings healing in His perfect way.

What is the Biblical Foundation of Heart Healing?
I often say at the core of heart healing is the belief that Jesus came not only to forgive sins but to heal the broken-hearted. In Luke 4:18, Jesus proclaims His mission: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed." This passage is a cornerstone for understanding how inner healing operates within a biblical framework. Jesus’ ministry on earth focused on healing people physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, showcasing God’s desire to restore humanity completely back to his original design and intent.
I have observed when broken-hearted people carry wounds from past traumas, hurts, or disappointments, these unhealed wounds can manifest as emotional pain, behavioural issues, or even spiritual blockages. From a biblical perspective, these are seen not just as psychological challenges but as deep spiritual matters that require divine intervention.
Why do we all need Divine Intervention? What is the Role of the Holy Spirit?
I dare to say it’s a non-negotiable when true healing and restoration is required, that is the indispensable role of the Holy Spirit in the heart healing process. I personally value and appreciate counselling and psychologists, in full transparency I see a counsellor, therapists have an important role to play. And through my own experience I have come to know that healing is not simply about counselling or psychological insight, but about encountering the Presence of God. The Holy Spirit, referred to as the "Comforter" in John 14:26, works gently to bring awareness to hidden wounds and deep-seated pain that one might not even recognise consciously. It is through this divine partnership with the Trinity that true healing occurs.
At Professional Partnership, In this process, the Holy Spirit acts as both a guide and a healer. We create a space to allow people to invite Him into the healing journey, which allows the supernatural power of God to penetrate areas of our heart that human effort alone cannot reach. This is beautifully encapsulated in Psalm 147:3, which declares, "He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds."
Why Forgiveness? Is it significant Key to Healing?
After facilitating more sessions that I can remember, a significant aspect of heart healing is forgiveness, both of oneself and others. This is an important biblical principle, highlighting how unforgiveness can be a major barrier to emotional freedom. Jesus Himself spoke extensively about the power of forgiveness.
In Ephesians 4:32 it says And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. This illustration isn’t an alternatim but an invitation, living from a place of tender-heartedness is a journey. A journey towards the deep places of our heart, to be healed and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Then through the Trinity’s residence in the champers of our heart, we can then outward flow tender-heartedness to humanity around us.
Why the Healing Power of Prayer?
I take the position that Prayer should be everyone’s first response and not your final resort. I submit to you that Prayer plays a vital role in heart healing. Prayer is not only a means of communication with God but a powerful tool for inviting His healing Presence into one's life. Prayers of repentance, release, and intercession are key components of the healing process. I have witnessed the power of prayer, that break the chains of generational mindsets and patterns, soul ties, and spiritual strongholds, and issues that can contribute to inner wounding and emotional pain.
The Bible is filled with examples of how prayer brings about healing. In James 5:16, it is written, "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." This passage underscores the transformative power of prayer in releasing God’s healing into areas of woundedness.
Restoring Identity through Healing
A central theme of my testimony and ministry is the restoration of identity. I believe that many people struggle with a damaged sense of self due to lies they have believed about themselves, often stemming from past trauma or negative life experiences. Heart healing, from a biblical perspective, involves replacing these lies with the truth of God's Word. In Jeremiah 1:5, God declares, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." This verse is a reminder of the intrinsic value and purpose each person has in God’s eyes.
When individuals come to understand their true identity in Christ, they experience a profound shift. They no longer define themselves by past hurts, failures, or the opinions of others, but by the unchanging truth of who God says they are.
This shift in perspective can lead to emotional freedom and a deeper sense of peace.

The primary models Lawrence may use is the Elijah House Prayer Ministry model. Elijah House Prayer Ministry was founded through the pioneering work of John and Paula Sandford. It is primarily pastoral in nature, based on scriptural principles and led by the Holy Spirit. Lawrence also uses Immanuel Approach founded by Dr Karl Lehman and Healing Rooms modes.
The prayer minister's role in the healing process is to facilitate what the Holy Spirit wants to accomplish in each person who comes for ministry.
NOTE: At this time we are not taking clients diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar and Borderline Personality Disorder, SRA and DID diagnosis.
